Six flights from Indian Airlines suddenly declared an emergency this Tuesday, October 22 2024:
- Air India flight #AI101from New Delhi declared an emergency on approach to New York JFK; operated by a Boeing 777-300ER VT-ALU.
- Akasa Air flight #AKJ156C from Pune declared an emergency on approach to Kolkata, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 VT-YAF.
- Akasa Air flight #QP1451 from Mumbai declared an emergency on approach to Lucknow, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 VT-YAK.
- Akasa Air flight #QP1608 from New Delhi declared an emergency on approach to Pune, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 VT-YAT.
- Akasa Air flight #QP1432 from Bangalore declared an emergency on approach to Hyderabad, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 VT-YAQ.
- Indigo flight #6E381 from Vasco da Gama declared an emergency on approach to Ahmedabad, operated by an Airbus A320-200 VT-IIQ.
So far this week, more than 70 flights operated by Indian airlines have received bomb threats, and most of them turned out to be hoaxes.
