]]>A Qatar Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner experienced an incident after landing at Doha Hamad International Airport Friday, October 25 2024.
While parking at the gate after flight #QR663 from Colombo, Sri Lanka, two wheels of the right main landing gear sunk about 1 m into an apron patch which collapsed.
The Boeing 787-8 (registration A7-BCV) then was laying on it’s right engine on the tarmac.
Doha Hamad International Airport team responded to secure the area and address the damage to both the apron and the aircraft.
The aircraft is still under maintenance check at the time we’re writing this article as inlet, fan cowls could have been damaged.

]]>Malaysia Airlines flight #MH1 departed London Heathrow in the late evening of Sunday, August 4 2024 at 22:05 BST from runway 27R.
The Airbus A350-900 (registration 9M-MAC) climbed to 35,000 ft and flew over Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania before the crew detected a technical issue on board.
About 3 hours into the flight, the flight path has been changed. The crew turned to South toward Egypt and then Saudi Arabia to reach Doha, Qatar.
The aircraft was experiencing weather radar issues which forced pilots to divert to Doha where it landed at 05:00 BST.
This Tuesday, 9M-MAC is still under maintenance at Hamad International Airport.
