Air India flight AI119, operating from Mumbai to JFK on October 14, received a specific security alert and was diverted to Delhi.

Following a bomb threat, the flight #AI119 departed Mumbai but diverted to Delhi according to instructions from the government’s security regulatory committee.

The airline confirmed that all 239 passengers and 19 crew members have safely disembarked and are currently undergoing security procedures. Refreshments have been provided to the passengers.

The flight operated by a Boeing 777-300ER (registration VT-AER) diverted to DEL Airport 1 hour and 30 minutes after departure.

Our ground staff is working diligently to minimize any inconvenience caused by this unexpected disruption. Once the security protocols are completed, guests will be relocated to hotels.

The flight has been rescheduled for the morning of October 15.
