Emirates flight from Dubai to London Heathrow is diverting to Birmingham due to storm Bert.

After two landing attempts on runway 27L at London Heathrow, flight #EK1 is diverting to Birmingham Airport.

The Airbus A380-800 (registration A6-EVC) is expected to land in few mins at BHX.

A strong crosswind up to 38 kt is challenging pilots of flights landing at London Heathrow today.

The Airport earlier announced to out of our planned alternation programme today: landing on the southern runway (27L) and taking off from the northern runway (27R) due to Storm Bert resulting in strong wind conditions exceeding those parameters deemed safe in planned alternation.

Saudia flight #SV119 to London Heathrow just diverted to London Gatwick.

Eurocontrol is expecting “high delays for arrivals due to Wind of storm Bert.”

TUI flight to Menorca Island returned to Birmingham only few minutes after takeoff.

TUI flight #BY7118 departed from Birmingham Monday, September 16 2024 on runway 33.

The Boeing 737-800 climbed to 7,000 ft then entered a hold. Pilots didn’t declare an emergency but contacted ATC about a technical issue with the aircraft.

The plane (registration G-TAWX) was on hold for 15 minutes before the crew started approach to BHX Airport.

The TUI flight landed on the same runway only 40 minutes after departure and taxied to the stand.

A new step towards normal operations as Emirates is taking another A380 out of storage.

Delivered in 2015, Emirates A380 registration A6-EOS was in storage since August 2020 as the pandemic was disturbing aviation worldwide.

The A380 conducted a test flight out of Dubai DXB Wednesday, May 1 2024. A 2-hour flight at 43,000 ft to perform check list following storage and maintenance.

According to M Zulqarnain B (and subject to change), A6-EOS is resuming commercial flights Wednesday, May 8 2024.

The aircraft should perform flight #EK39 from Dubai to Birmingham, departing at 07:40 GST with scheduled arrival at 12:25 BST.

Birmingham Airport suspended its flight operations after the discovery of a suspected item onboard an Aer Lingus flight.

Birmingham Airport temporarily suspended its flight operations due to the discovery of a suspected item onboard an Aer Lingus flight EI3647 from Birmingham to Belfast.

Pilots of the ATR 72-600 (registration G-CMJJ) declared an emergency (squawk 7700) just after take-off on 16 April.

The flight returned back for a safe landing on Runway 33 only 30 minutes after departure. It taxied to a remote area followed by emergency services. Passengers deplaned on the isolated taxi way.

“We are currently at Birmingham Airport following a report of a suspicious item found on a flight destined for Belfast.

West Midlands Police

Several flights to Birmingham diverted to Manchester Airport as Ryanair flight FR670 from Dublin.

We can confirm that an undeclared item discovered on Aer Lingus Regional flight EI3647, operated by Emerald Airlines, from Birmingham to Belfast today was not a security risk.

The ATR 72 was later moved back to the terminal after officials declared it was safe and the flight operations resumed.
