Air Canada Boeing 787-9 experienced severe turbulence while flying over the Pacific.

The flight #AC19 departed Vancouver close to midnight for a 16-hour flight over the Pacific to Singapore.

About two hours into the flight, while cruising at 36,000 ft, the Boeing 787-9 experience severe turbulence.

According to a passenger, the cabin was full of floating food. He said “I had coffee dripping on me from the ceiling and was picking rice out of my hair afterwards.”

“Not sure how far we dropped, and how fast we dropped. But it was like one of those rides at the fair that bring you up High, and drop you fast. Stomach in throat!”
