Air France flight to New Delhi returned to Paris CDG following technical issue.

Air France flight #AF226 was scheduled to depart Paris CDG this Friday, July 26 2024 at 10h05 but the plane took off 2 hours late.

The Boeing 787-9 (registration F-HRBJ) departed from runway 27L at 14h19 local time and climbed to 35,000 ft.

But only 25 minutes after takeoff, the crew noticed a technical issue with a hydraulic pump on the Boeing 787-9.

The pilots declared an emergency (squawk 7700) and descended to 24,000 ft to enter a holding pattern in order to prepare the aircraft to return and to burn/dump fuel.

Customers taken in charge for re-routing as soon as possible (commercial treatment in progress).

The technical problem with the hydraulic pump was not affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft added Air France to AIRLIVE.
